Digital Music Conversion
Many great albums have never been re-released on CD. So how do you listen to those vinyl or cassette albums without a record player or tape deck? Easy! Put them onto a CD!Skipton Systems offers, among others, the following digital music conversion services: convert vinyl to cd, convert tape to cd, convert vinyl to mp3, convert tape to mp3.
There are a number of advantages to putting your old recordings onto CD or mp3, but some that you maybe haven't thought of. Vinyl and tape are both very "noisy" mediums. When copied onto CD, we can use software to remove pops and other noise from LP recordings and tape hiss from cassette recordings. Of course, this is an optional service! We understand that you may want to preserve the imperfections.
We can either cut your collection straight to CD, or provide you with mp3 versions of your music, which will allow you to copy it to a portable MP3 player, such as an iPod. Formats include: MP3, AAC, WMA, Ogg Vorbis, WMA Lossless, FLAC Lossless and WAV.

Please note that there is a minimum charge of £10.00.
Noise Removal
When converting audio to CD, we will automatically run our noise removal tools on the files. This will apply any noise removal filters to the project as a whole - it will not remove any extra imperfections present between tracks. This is a particular issue on "mix tapes" recorded from LP, where the needle is placed down on the record and causes a loud "crack" on the tape. We can, by all means, remove these imperfetions. Postage
We are based in Skipton, North Yorkshire. You can either bring your music collection to us, or alternatively you can post it using your chosen method. We will convert it to your chosen format and post it back to you, using the same service, within 10 working days**.Copyright

*90 minute cassettes are too long for a single CD. They are provided on 2 CDs in a double jewel case
